Creative Projects

Team Leader, “Excellence to Excrement” October 2024

• Led a competition team of students to write, animate, and edit a stop motion short in 24 hours.

• 4th globally ranked film for the “24 Hours Animation Contest” (2024)

• Official selection of the Animation is Film festival in Hollywood.

Teacher,  Scottdale Public Library "Stop Motion Animation Workshop" July 2022, 2023

• Created an informational and interactive workshop for tweens and teens interested in stop motion animation

• Provided individual consultation with each student to create a short original character-based animation using the IStopMotion app

Team Leader, “Poisonous Progress” October 2022

• Based on an assigned prompt to imagine the world 100 years in the future, this film explores the negative effects of modern society on the environment and the power individuals hold to inspire change

• 53rd globally ranked film for the "24 Hours Animation Contest" (2022)

Independent Film Creator, “The Fabric of Thought” October - December 2020

• Directed, wrote, fabricated, and animated a stop motion short film exploring the insecurities and pressures a high school girl experiences surrounding appearance

• Fabricated puppet, costumes, set, and props inspired by the art style of studios such as Laika and Disney

• National Gold Medalist winner of the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards in "Film and Animation" (2021)

• Regional Gold Key winner of the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards in “Film and Animation” (2021)

 

Work Experience

Edinboro Film Lab Aide - PennWest University, Edinboro PA, August 2024 - Present

• Assist in handling and distributing film lab equipment to qualified students

• Conduct research and provide solutions when equipment malfunctions

• Assist in film equipment maintenance 

Community / Summer Assistant - PennWest University, Edinboro PA, August 2023 - August 2024

• Practice problem-solving skills by conducting roommate conflict meetings and completing summary reports
