Basinger

Taney is a Pittsburgh-based filmmaker who has always had a heart for storytelling. Whether through metal, clay, fabric, or foam, her goal is to fabricate spaces and narratives that evoke emotion and address shared experiences. Since beginning her independent film career in 2020, her work has screened at the "3 Rivers Film Festival" in Pittsburgh, "Animation is Film" in Los Angeles, and several other festivals around the world. Her 2025 film, Dance Into the Day, is set to release on WQED+, a PBS streaming platform, in September. She earned her BFA in Animation and Film from Edinboro University in May of 2026 and continues to hone her craft.
